22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the Portuguese/French drama Alma Viva. The album features the film’s original music composed by Amine Bouhafa (Timbuktu, Four Daughters, Beauty and the Dogs, Gagarine, The Summit of the Gods, The Man Who Sold His Skin). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Alma Viva is written and directed by Cristèle Alves Meira and stars Lua Michel, Ana Padrao, Jacqueline Corado, Duarte Pina and Catherine Salée. The movie is set in a Portuguese mountain village and tells the story of a young girl who becomes possessed by the spirit of her late grandmother. The drama premiered at last year’s Cannes Critics’ Week and has been released in various international markets over the last couple of months. No word yet on a domestic release date.
