Pretty Red Dress is written and directed by Dionne Edwards and stars Maria Almeida, Nicholas Bishop, Eliot Sumner, Edwin De La Renta, Ben Caplan, Thomas Grant, Lee Byford, James McNicholas, Natey Jones, Maria Crittell, Emeka Sesay and Adé Dee Haastrup. The movie is set against the backdrop of South London and follows a family tested to their limit when their son, fresh out of jail, is found wearing a dress by his partner and secretive teenage daughter. The drama, which premiered at last year’s BFI London Film Festival, was released in select theaters and on VOD this past weekend by Gravitas Ventures and also opened in UK theaters last week.
