Universal Music has released the official soundtrack album for Toei Animation’s feature The First Slam Dunk. The album features the film’s original music composed by Satoshi Takebe (From Up on Poppy Hill, Earwig and the Witch) and the Japanese rock band 10-FEET. Also included is the opening theme song Love Rockets by The Birthday and the ending theme song Dai Zero Kan by 10-FEET. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. A limited edition CD version is also being released in Japan and is available to order as an import here. The First Slam Dunk is written and directed by Takehiko Inoue based on his Slam Dunk manga series and follows a teenager who enrolls in Shohoku High School’s basketball team as they take the stage at the Inter-High School National Championship. The film premiered in Japanese theaters last December and has been picked up by GKIDS for a release in U.S. theaters this summer.
