Cellist, singer/songwriter and composer Ben Sollee has recently scored the upcoming crime comedy Maggie Moore(s). The film marks the second directorial effort of actor John Slattery (following 2014’s Nathan Larson-scored God’s Pocket) and stars Jon Hamm, Tina Fey, Micah Stock, Happy Anderson, Nick Mohammed and Mary Holland. The movie revolves around a police chief who investigates the bizarre murders of two women with the same name, and unravels a web of small-town lies. Paul Bernbaum (Hollywoodland, Next) wrote the screenplay. Slattery is also producing the project with Vincent Newman (We’re the Millers, A Man Apart), Dan Reardon & Santosh Govindaraju (The Hating Game, Meet Cute), as well as Nancy Leopardi & Ross Kohn (Happily, American Exit). Sollee’s previous scoring credits include 2013’s Maidentrip, 2017’s Beauty Mark and Robin Wright’s 2021 directorial debut Land. Maggie Moore(s) will be released in select theaters and on VOD on June 16 by Screen Media Films.
