La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1993 coming-of-age drama What’s Eating Gilbert Grape directed by Lasse Hallström and starring Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Juliette Lewis, Mary Steenburgen, Darlene Cates and John C. Reilly. The album features the film’s original score composed by Alan Parker (Jaws 3-D, American Gothic) and Björn Isfält (My Life as a Dog, Slingshot), as well as alternate cues. Also included is Isfält’s original unused score written for the movie. The soundtrack, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape is now available on VOD and DVD.
