Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller The Pope’s Exorcist. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant, Macbeth, The Babadook, The Mustang, Overlord, Assassin’s Creed, Son of a Gun, The Oxford Murders). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 14 and will be available to stream/download here. The Pope’s Exorcist is directed by Julius Avery and stars Russell Crowe, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe and Franco Nero. The movie is inspired by the actual files of the Chief Exorcist of the Vatican and follows the title character as he investigates a boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden. The thriller was released in several foreign markets last week and is opening in U.S. theaters this weekend by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.
