David Fleming (The Last of Us, Hillbilly Elegy, Blue Planet II, The Unforgivable, South of Heaven) has recently scored the upcoming comedic crime thriller Americana. The film is written and directed by Tony Tost and stars Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey, Zahn McClarnon, Eric Dane, Simon Rex, Gavin Maddox Bergman, Toby Huss, Derek Hinkey and Harriet Sansom Harris. The movie follows a group of unlikely heroes and villains on the hunt for the mythical Lakota Ghost Shirt. Alex Saks (The Florida Project, Book Club) is producing the project. Americana will premiere this Friday at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival.
HBO’s The Last of Us (co-scored by Gustavo Santaolalla & Fleming) just ended its first season run last Sunday and will return for a second season.
