Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) (Uncut Gems, Good Time, The Bling Ring) is teaming up with Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye to score the next, currently untitled feature directed by Trey Edward Shults (Waves, It Comes at Night, Krisha). The film is co-written by Shults, Tesfaye & Reza Fahim (The Idol) and stars The Weeknd himself, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. No plot details have been announced yet. The Weeknd and Fahim are also producing the project with Kevin Turen (Euphoria, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) and Harrison Kreiss (X, Pearl). The untitled movie is currently in production. Lopatin is also involved in scoring the Nathan Fielder- & Benny Safdie-created Showtime series The Curse, which is expected to premiere later this year.
