Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring two previously unreleased scores composed by Hummie Mann (Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Year of the Comet, Thomas and the Magic Railroad). The first title on the album is the composer’s music written for the unreleased “director’s cut” version of the 1999 drama Brokedown Palace directed by Jonathan Kaplan and starring Claire Danes, Kate Beckinsale and Bill Pullman. Island Records has released the official 1999 soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie and a track from the replacement score by David Newman. Also included is Mann’s score for 1997 HBO original movie The Second Civil War directed by Joe Dante and starring Beau Bridges, Phil Hartman, James Earl Jones, Denis Leary, Elizabeth Peña, Joanna Cassidy, Dan Hedaya, James Coburn and Ron Perlman. The Hummie Mann Collection – Volume 2 is limited to 500 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more details and check out audio samples.
