Night Shyamalan and starring Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Abby Quinn, Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Kristen Cui. The film’s original music is composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Y: The Last Man, The Essex Serpent, The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here). Also opening wide is the comedy 80 for Brady directed by Kyle Marvin and starring Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Billy Porter and Tom Brady. John Debney (Elf, The Jungle Book, The Passion of the Christ, Hocus Pocus, Iron Man 2) has composed the film’s original score. BMG has released the original song Gonna Be You written by Diane Warren and performed by Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan & Debbie Harry from the movie last month. Also opening nationwide is the animated feature The Amazing Maurice directed by Toby Genkel, co-directed by Florian Westermann and starring Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, Himesh Patel, David Tennant, Gemma Arterton and Hugh Bonneville. The film’s original score is composed by Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Early Man, Shrinking, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon). Erik Friedlander (Thoroughbreds, Oh Lucy, Future Weather) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie, which follows a lifestyle vlogger and influencer who – after the arrival of her first child – is plunged into a waking fever dream where everyone is a threat, is being distributed by Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet Releasing.
Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller The Locksmith written and directed by Nicolas Harvard and starring Ryan Phillippe, Kate Bosworth, Jeffrey Nordling, Kaylee Bryant, Gabriela Quezada, Charlie Weber and Ving Rhames. The film’s original music is composed by Marlana Sheetz (of the indie pop band Milo Greene) who has made her feature film scoring debut on the project. No word on a soundtrack release. Another movie opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller A Lot of Nothing co-written and directed by Mo McRae and starring Y’lan Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Shamier Anderson, Justin Hartley and Lex Scott Davis. David Sardy (End of Watch, 21, Zombieland, Premium Rush, Bright, Monster Trucks) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie, which follows a couple whose lives are rocked to the core when, after watching a tragedy play out on the evening news, they realize their neighbor was involved, is being distributed by RLJE Films.
David Sardy has also composed the original music for the thriller Little Dixie directed by John Swab and starring Frank Grillo, Eric Dane, Annabeth Gish, Beau Knapp, Peter Greene, Thomas Dekker, Maurice Compte and Mercedes Mason. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows an ex-Special Forces Operative who must take down the Mexican drug cartel and do whatever it takes to protect his young daughter, is being released in select theaters and on VOD by Paramount Pictures.
