La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1992 biographical drama Chaplin directed by Richard Attenborough and starring Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Dan Aykroyd, Geraldine Chaplin, Penelope Ann Miller and Kevin Kline. The album features the film’s expanded and remastered Academy Award-nominated original score composed and conducted by John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger, The Man with the Golden Gun, Somewhere in Time, Body Heat) and performed by the English Chamber Orchestra, including previously unreleased music. The CD, which is limited to 3,000 copies, will be available to order on the label’s official website at noon today. Sony’s Epic Soundtrax has previously released the original 1992 soundtrack album.
