Joe Wong (Russian Doll, Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Midnight Gospel, Kenan) is composing the original music for the new ABC drama Will Trent. The show is developed by Liz Heldens (The Dropout, The Dropout) & Dan Thomsen based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling series of the same name and stars Ramón Rodríguez, Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin and Sonja Sohn. The series revolves around a Special Agent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) who endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system and is determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was. Heldens & Thomsen are also executive producing the 20th Television production with Karin Slaughter (Pieces of Her) and Oly Obst (The Resident, The Lovebirds). Paul McGuigan (Wicker Park, Push) has directed and executive produced the pilot episode. Wong has previously scored the Heldens-created Fox drama The Big Leap. Will Trent will premiere next Tuesday, January 3 on ABC and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
