Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for the animated short film The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. The album features the original music from the Christmas special composed by Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Emma, The Phantom of the Open, Vita & Virginia, Roar, Munich: The Edge of War, Vanity Fair) and performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Geoff Alexander. The soundtrack will be released on December 23 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is directed by Peter Baynton & Charlie Mackesy and stars Tom Hollander, Idris Elba, Gabriel Byrne and Jude Coward Nicol. The special is based on Mackesy’s bestselling illustrated book of the same title and tells the story of the unlikely friendship of a boy, a mole, a fox and a horse traveling together in the boy’s search for home. The film will premiere in the UK on BBC One and in the U.S. on Apple TV+ on Christmas Day.
