Deutsche Grammophon will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure adaptation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute. The album features the film’s music, which consists of Mozart’s arias and a complementary orchestral score by German composer Martin Stock. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 4 and is now available for pre-order here. A CD version is set to come out on December 16 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. Listen to two first tracks below. The Magic Flute is directed by Florian Sigl and stars Jack Wolfe, Iwan Rheon, F. Murray Abraham, Stéfi Celma, Elliot Courtiour, Niamh McCormack, Waldemar Kobus, Tedros Teclebrhan, Jeanne Goursaud, Jasmin Shakeri, Larissa Sirah Herden, Asha Banks and Amir Wilson. The movie executive produced by Roland Emmerich is set in present-day Europe and tells the story of 17-year-old who is sent from London to the Austrian alps to start his singing scholarship at the legendary Mozart boarding school, where he discovers a century old forgotten passageway into the magical world of The Magic Flute. The drama will be released in several European markets this fall. Shout! Studios has picked up domestic distribution rights.
