Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream, A Quiet Place, Ford v. Ferrari, Logan) & Marcus Trumpp (Love and Monsters, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death) have teamed up to score the upcoming action thriller Plane. The film is directed by Jean-François Richet (Assault on Precint 13, Blood Father) and stars Gerard Butler, Mike Colter, Yoson An, Daniella Pineda, Remi Adeleke, Paul Ben-Victor, Joey Slotnick, Claro de los Reyes, Evan Dane Taylor and Tony Goldwyn. The movie revolves around a pilot who saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island – only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. Charles Cumming and J.P. Davis (The Contractor, The Neighbor) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Cumming. Butler is also producing the project with Alan Siegel (Olympus/London/Angel Has Fallen, Law Abiding Citizen), Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Mark Vahradian (Deepwater Horizon, Bumblebee) and Marc Butan (Triple 9, Confidence). Beltrami & Trumpp have previously collaborated with Richet on the second Mesrine film and the 2018 feature The Emperor of Paris. Plane is expected to be released in theaters in early 2023 by Lionsgate.
