Radiofandango has released a soundtrack album for the Italian drama The Hummingbird (Il Colibrì). The album features the film’s original music composed by Battista Lena (The Day of the Beast, Hardboiled Egg, An Italian Name, Vivere). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The Hummingbird is co-written and directed by Francesca Archibugi and stars Pierfrancesco Favino, Kasia Smutniak, Bérénice Bejo, Nanni Moretti, Laura Morante, Benedetta Porcaroli, Sergio Albelli and Massimo Ceccherini. The movie is based on the novel by Sandro Veronesi and depicts the strange, wondrous life of Marco Carrera from childhood through adulthood to his final years. The drama premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and just opened in Italian theaters last weekend.
