Cognitive Shift has released a soundtrack EP for the documentary All That Breathes. The 4-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Roger Goula (The Frankenstein ChroniclesNext Goal Wins, Killers Anonymous, Tiger HouseIdenticals). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. All That Breathes is directed by Shaunak Sen and follows two brothers who run a bird hospital dedicated to rescuing injured black kites, a staple in the skies of New Delhi, India. The documentary, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema Documentary, and at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where it received the festival’s Documentary Prize, will be released theatrically the UK this Friday, October 14, in New York on October 21 and in Los Angeles on October. The movie is set to debut on HBO and HBO Max in 2023.

    This was a beautiful, powerful film, and unique in its POV from the animals and insects, with humanity in the background, over and over. It shows the horror when we separate people into “boxes” that can be vilified and disrespected. Another fabulous element is the MUSIC. ALL THAT BREATHES deserves every single award it applies for. It will lift your heart, reward generosity given to these efforts, and leaves us with a little hope that we can all work to make the world a better place, for all.
