Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, The Offer, Physical, Sex/Life) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film Lady Chatterley’s Lover. The movie is directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre (The Mustang) and stars Emma Corrin, Jack O’Connell, Joely Richardson, Matthew Duckett, Faye Marsay and Ella Hunt. The drama is based on the classic D.H. Lawrence novel of the same name and tells the story of a woman born to a life of wealth and privilege, who soon finds herself married to a man that she eventually falls out of love with and engages in a torrid affair with a gamekeeper on their English estate. David Magee (Life of Pi, Finding Neverland) wrote the screenplay. Laurence Mark (Jerry Maguire, I, Robot) and Peter Czernin & Graham Broadbent (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, In Bruges) are producing the project. Lady Chatterley’s Lover is premiering tonight at the 2022 Telluride Film Festival and will debut this December on Netflix.
Summers’ other upcoming feature projects also include Aitch Alberto’s Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, which will premiere next month at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival and the animated movie Hitpig.
