Craig Wedren (Role Models, Yellowjackets, School of Rock, Wet Hot American Summer, GLOW) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Roost. The film is directed by Amy Redford (The Guitar) and stars Summer Phoenix, Grace Van Dien, Kyle Gallner and Jesse Garcia. The movie centers on the relationship between a mother and her teen daughter and the troubles that arise after the latter is seduced online by a 28-year-old man. Scott Organ wrote the screenplay based on his own play. Reford is also producing the project with Eden Wurmfeld (Kissing Jessica Stein, The Killing Floor) and Lynda Weinman (The Tale, The Life Ahead). Roost will premiere in September at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival.
Wedren’s recent feature projects include Stephanie Allynne’s & Tig Notaro’s Am I OK? (co-scored with Annie Clark), which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by HBO Max for a domestic release. He also continues to score NBC’s New Amsterdam, which will return for its fifth and final season on September 20, and co-score Showtime’s Yellowjackets (with Anna Waronker), which has been renewed for a second season.
