Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Honey Boy, Together, Together, Fresh, Aloha, Charm City Kings, Dawson City: Frozen Time) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama Causeway. The film is directed by Lila Neugebauer and stars Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie revolves around a soldier struggling to adjust to her life after returning home to New Orleans. Ottessa Moshfegh, Luke Goebel and Elizabeth Sanders wrote the screenplay. Lawrence is also producing the A24 production with Justine Ciarrocchi for Excellent Cadaver. Causeway will premiere next month at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival and will be released in theaters and debut on Apple TV+ later this year.
Somers’ other recent projects include the Netflix documentary Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story, which just premiered last week.
