Daniel Hart is currently recording his score for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Peter Pan & Wendy. The film is directed by David Lowery and stars Alexander Molony & Ever Anderson in the title roles, Jude Law as Captain Hook, Yara Shahidi as Tinkerbell, as well as Molly Parker, Alan Tudyk, Joshua Pickering, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Jacobi Jupe and Jim Gaffigan. The fantasy adventure is based on J. M. Barrie’s novel and Disney’s 1953 animated classic and tells the story of a young girl who, defying her parents’ wishes to attend boarding school, travels with her two younger brothers to the magical Neverland, where she meets a boy who refuses to grow up, a tiny fairy and an evil pirate captain. Jim Whitaker (A Wrinkle in Time, The Odd Life of Timothy Green) is producing the project. Hart has previously scored all of Lowery’s previous features, including Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, A Ghost Story, The Old Man & the Gun, The Green Knight, as well as Disney’s Pete’s Dragon. The composer is recording his music at the Newman Scoring Stage on the Fox lot in Los Angeles. Peter Pan & Wendy was originally scheduled to premiere this year on Disney+. A release date is expected to be announced soon.

I hope this movie will be release on Christmas 😁
The score is definitely reminiscent of Hook in some parts. I’m curious if the composer had that in mind.
