We Are Dark Angels (aka Deantoni Parks & Nicci Kasper) (Dog Eat Dog) have teamed up with Zachary Dawes (Big Time Adolescence, The Peanut Butter Falcon) & Nick Sena (Deep Murder, We Broke Up) to score the new Amazon original series A League of Their Own. The show is created by Will Graham (Mozart in the Jungle) & Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) based on Penny Marshall’s 1992 feature of the same title (scored by Hans Zimmer) and stars Jacobson herself, alongside Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Nick Offerman, Roberta Colindrez, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Kendall Johnson, Kate Berlant, Kelly McCormack, Alex Désert, Aaron Jennings, Priscilla Delgado, Molly Ephraim, Melanie Field and Dale Dickey. The drama follows a group of women who dream of playing professional baseball as they carve their paths toward the fields. Graham and Jacobson are also executive producing the Amazon Stuedios and Sony Pictures Television production with Field Trip’s Hailey Wierengo and Desta Tedros Reff, as well as Jamie Babbit (But I’m a Cheerleader) who also directed the first episode. A League of Their Own will premiere on August 12 exclusively on Prime Video.
Dawes also continues to score Amazon’s The Summer I Turned Pretty, which has been renewed for a second season.
