Dara Taylor (The Tender Bar, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, Echo Boomers, Wildflower) is scoring the upcoming horror thriller The Invitation. The film is directed by Jessica M. Thompson (The Light of the Moon) and stars Nathalie Emmanuel, Thomas Doherty, Hugh Skinner, Sean Pertwee, Courtney Taylor, Alana Boden and Stephanie Corneliussen. The movie is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula and tells the story of a young woman who takes a DNA test after the death of her mother and discovers a long-lost cousin she never knew she had.Blair Butler (Hell Fest, Polaroid) wrote the original screenplay with revisions by Thompson. Emile Gladstone (The Curse of La Llorona, Army of One) is producing the Screen Gems production. The Invitation will be released in theaters nationwide on August 26, 2022 by Sony Pictures.
Taylor’s upcoming feature projects also include Charles Shyer’s Netflix film The Noel Diary, which will premiere later this year. She also recently co-scored the ESPN docuseries 37 Words, which just premiered last week, and continues to compose the score for HBO Max’s Little Ellen, which will return for its third season on June 23.
