Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, The Last Duel, Mulan, Kingdom of Heaven) has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Retribution. The film is directed by Nimrod Antal (Predators, Control) and stars Liam Neeson, Matthew Modine, Embeth Davidtz, Arian Moayed, Noma Dumezweni, Jack Champion and Lilly Aspel. The movie is based on the Spanish feature El Desconocido and follows a banking executive whose life is thrown upside down when a bomb is placed inside his car with him and his family, and the banker’s children are forced to go through the harrowing events with him. The Picture Company’s Andrew Rona & Alex Heineman (Non-Stop, The Commuter) are producing the StudioCanal production with Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise, The Shallows) and Juan Sola (Extinction, Anna). Retribution is expected to be released later this year.

Gregson-Williams will also return to co-score the second season of HBO’s The Gilded Age.
