French singer/songwriter Camille (aka Camille Dalmais) has composed the original music for the upcoming historical drama Corsage. The film is written and directed by Marie Kreutzer (The Ground Beneath My Feet) and stars Vicky Krieps, Florian Teichtmeister, Katharina Lorenz, Jeanne Werner, Alma Hasun and Manuel Rubey. The movie centers on the short period in 19th-century Empress Elisabeth of Austria’s life around Christmas 1877 as she turns 40 and starts to question what her future holds as her renowned beauty starts to fade. Alexander Glehr (Caviar, Angelo) and Johanna Scherz (What We Wanted) are producing the project. Camille has previously contributed music to the 2015 animated feature The Little Prince (scored by Hans Zimmer & Richard Harvey) and has also scored several French documentaries. Corsage will premiere this month at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in Austrian/German theaters this summer and in other European markets later this year.
