Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1982 comedy Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid co-written and directed by Carl Reiner and starring Steve Martin, Rachel Ward, Alan Ladd, Reiner himself and Reni Santoni. The 2-CD set, which is being released as part of Universal Pictures’ Film Music Classics Collection features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Miklós Rózsa (Ben-Hur, Spellbound, Quo Vadis, King of Kings, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, Ivanhoe), including the complete score on the first disc and additional scoring cues and alternates on the second disc. The album set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the full album details. Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
