Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Secret Society of Second-Born Royals, Son of Zorn) has recently scored the new comedy Unplugging. The film marks the feature directorial debut of editor Debra Neil-Fisher (The Hangover, Austin Powers) and stars Eva Longoria, Matt Walsh, Nicole Byer, Al Madrigal, Lea Thompson and Keith David. The movie follows a couple who take a self-prescribed digital detox weekend getaway to a remote mountain town that quickly spirals out of control. Walsh also co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Morris. Debbie Liebling (South Park), Carissa Buffel (Touchback) and Kevin Matusow (The Dark and the Wicked, Josie) and are producing the Traveling Picture Show Company and Productivity Media production. Birenberg has previously scored the Liebling-produced feature Plus One and TV shows PEN15 and Big Time in Hollywood, FL. Unplugging will be released in select theaters and on VOD on April 22, 2022 by Vertical Entertainment.
