Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, Ratched, The Politician) is scoring the upcoming Starz limited series Gaslit. The show is created by Robbie Pickering (Natural Selection, Freaks of Nature) based on the first season of the Slow Burn podcast and stars Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Dan Stevens, Betty Gilpin, Shea Whigham and Darby Camp. Thet drama focuses on the untold stories and forgotten characters of the Watergate scandal – from Nixon’s subordinates to the deranged zealots aiding and abetting their crimes to the tragic whistleblowers who would eventually bring the whole enterprise crashing down. Pickering serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the UCP production with Roberts, Sam Esmail & Chad Hamilton (Homecoming, Comet), Anonymous Content and Slate’s Gabriel Roth (Run & Gun) and Josh Levin, as well as Matt Ross (Captain Fantastic, 28 Hotel Rooms) who also directed multiple episodes. Quayle has previously scored all episodes of the Esmail- & Hamilton-produced USA series Mr. Robot. Gaslit will premiere on April 24, 2022 on Starz.
Quayle is also expected to return as the composer of new seasons of FX’s American Horror Story and Netflix’s Ratched and also continues to co-score Fox’s 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
