Claudia Sarne (The Book of EliEarthquake Bird, Triple 9, Broken City, Dispatches from Elsewhere) is scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Shining Girls. The show is developed by Silka Luisa based on Lauren Beukes’ bestselling novel of the same title and stars Elisabeth Moss, Jamie Bell, Wagner Moura, Phillipa Soo and Amy Brenneman. The 8-part thriller revolves around a woman who learns that a recent murder is linked to a brutal attack left her in a constantly shifting reality and teams with a veteran reporter to understand her ever-changing present and confront her past. Luisa & Moss are also executive producing the MRC Television production with Lindsay McManus, Rebecca Hobbs (Coyote), Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio & Jennifer Davisson (Richard Jewell, Before the Flood), Michael Hampton, Alan Paige Arriaga, Lauren Beukes, Daina Reid, as well as Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad) who also directed the first two episodes. Shining Girls will premiere on April 29, 2022 exclusively on Apple TV+.
