Mervyn Warren (The Wedding Planner, A Walk to Remember, Joyful Noise, Honey) has been hired to score the upcoming drama Lola James. The film marks the directorial debut of actresses Nicola Peltz (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bates Motel) & Bria Vinaite (The Florida Project) and stars Peltz herself, alongside Virginia Madsen, Richie Merritt, Trevor Long, Raven Goodwin and Luke David Blumm. The movie is set in middle America and revolves around the 19-year old title character who is working to save enough money to get her little brother out of their toxic home, when she she spirals into a drug addiction that threatens to consume her. Peltz also wrote the screenplay and is producing the project with Will McCance (Crystal Swan). Lola James is expected to premiere in 2022.
