John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Invincible, When the Game Stands Tall, The Star) has composed the original music for the new National Geographic limited series The Hot Zone: Anthrax. The show’s cast includes Daniel Dae Kim, Tony Goldwyn, Dawn Olivieri, Ian Colletti, Morgan Kelly, Denyce Lawton, Carlos Gonzalez-Vio, Vanessa Matsui, Enrico Colantoni and Harry Hamlin. The 6-parter takes place in 2001, just weeks after 9/11, when letters containing anthrax were sent to unsuspecting victims in Florida, Washington, D.C., and New York, claiming five lives, and follows a team of FBI agents and scientists as they slowly close in on a prime suspect. Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson (Smallville, Salem) are the project’s showrunners and are also executive producing the 20th Television and Scott Free production with Ridley Scott & David W. Zucker (The Good Wife, The Man in the High Castle), Jordan Sheehan (Raised by Wolves, The Terror) and Lynda Obst (Interstellar, Adventures in Babysitting). The Hot Zone: Anthrax will premiere this coming Sunday, November 28 on National Geographic and will also be available on Hulu.
Pasesano’s other upcoming projects include the Disney+ movies Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper by the Dozen.
