Trevor Jones (The Dark Crystal, The Last of the Mohicans, Labyrinth, Merlin, Mississippi Burning, Cliffhanger, Excalibur, Dark City) has signed on to score the upcoming indie western The Redeemer. The film is written and directed by Myles Clohessy and stars Chris Mulkey, Titus Welliver, Brandon Routh, Robert Clohessy, Mo Brings Plenty, Eddie Spears, Irene Bedard, Timothy V. Murphy and Baylee Toney. The movie tells the story of Butch a washed up war hero in 1880s Montana who embark on a life-or-death rescue mission into the frontier, alongside his estranged son, to save his Indigenous wife and daughter-in-law after they are kidnapped by a gang of violent outlaws. Clohessy is also producing the project with Antony Ware, Ramsey Heitmann, Philly Born Films’ Mike Walsh (Sno Babies), Jard Media’s Rob Simmons (Equal Standard) and Safier Entertainment’s Jared Safier (Christmas v. the Walters, The Brawler). The Redeemer will start production later this month in Montana. (Deadline)
