John M. Keane (The Amazing Race, Another Way to Die, Martial Law) is returning as the composer for the new CBS drama CSI: Vegas. The show is created by Jason Tracey (Elementary, Burn Notice) and stars William Petersen & Jorja Fox (who are reprising their roles from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), as well as Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon and Mel Rodriguez. The series follows a brilliant new team of investigators who must enlist the help of old friends when an existential threatens to bring down the entire Crime Lab and release thousands of convicted killers back onto the neon-lit streets of Vegas. Tracey and Peterson are also executive producing the CBS Studios production with Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun, Armageddon), Jonathan Littman & KristieAnne Reed (Lucifer), Anthony Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn & Ann Donahue (CSI: Miami, CSI: NY), Craig O’Neill, Uta Briesewitz (who directed the first episode) and Cindy Chvatal. Keane has previously scored most episodes of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation series, which ran between 2000 and 2015. CSI: Vegas will premiere on October 6 and will air every Wednesday night CBS (and will also be available to stream on Paramount+).
