MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Kosovan drama Zana. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dritero Nikqi. Also included is Andrra’s theme song Zana’s Lullaby, which has previously been released a digital single. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Zana is co-written and directed by Antoneta Kastrati and stars Adriana Matoshi, Astrit Kabashi and Fatmire Sahiti. The movie centers on a a Kosovar woman haunted by her long-suppressed past who struggles to reconcile the expectations of motherhood with a legacy of wartime brutality. The drama, which premiered at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival, was selected as the Kosovan entry for the Best International Feature Film at last year’s Academy Awards and is now available in the U.S. on VOD.
