Republic Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama CODA. The album features the film’s original music composed Marius de Vries (Kick-Ass, Sucker Punch, Strange Magic, Teen Spirit, Easy Virtue) and produced by himself and Nicholai Baxter. Also included are tracks by Etta James, The Clash, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, as well as the original song Beyond the Shore written by de Vries, Baxter, director Siân Heder & Matt Dahan and performed by lead actress Emilia Jones. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 13 and will be available to stream/download here. CODA is written and directed by Heder and stars Jones, Eugenio Derbez, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Troy Kotsur Daniel Durant and Marlee Matlin. The movie revolves around the only hearing member of a deaf family as she joins her high school’s choir club and dinds herself drawn to both her duet partner and her latent passion for singing. The drama, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, will be released in select theaters and on Apple TV+ tomorrow.
