Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, Good Girls, Animals, Die in a Gunfight, A-X-L, Yes, God, Yes) has composed the original score for the new Showtime docu-series UFO. The show is directed by Mark Monroe (The Dissident, Morning Light) & Paul Crowder (The Last Play at Shea) and explores our fascination with unidentified flying objects, and what clandestine influence the American government, lucrative private companies and the military may have in shielding the truth behind extraterrestrial phenomena to further their own agendas. Monroe is also executive producing the Bad Robot and Zipper Bros Films production with J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Alias, Lost, Star Trek), Glen Zipper (Challenger: The Final Flight, Dogs), Sean Stuart, Ben Stephenson (Westworld, Lovecraft Country) and Rachel Rusch Rich. UFO is premiering today on Showtime.
Among other Hultquist’s other upcoming projects are the third season of Apple TV+’s Dickinson and Amazon’s I Know What You Did Last Summer TV series (both projects co-scored with Drum & Lace).
