The World Soundtrack Academy has announced the nominees for the 2021 World Soundtrack Awards in the categories of Film Composer of the Year, TV Composer of the Year and Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film. The winners will be announced at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards ceremony, which will take place in the Opera of Ghent on, October 23, 2021. Max Richter has previously been announced as guest of honor and Eleni Karaindrou will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award 2021. The rest of the nominations will be revealed in early September.
