Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, Bad Boys for Life, The LEGO Batman Movie, The Crown) is reteaming with director Michael Bay (The Rock, Transformers, Armageddon) on the upcoming action thriller Ambulance. The film starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Eiza Gonzalez, Garret Dillahunt, A Martinez, Keir O’Donnell, Moses Ingram, Wale Folarin, Cedric Sanders, Jackson White, Colin Woodell & Olivia Stambouliah is based on the Danish feature Ambulancen and follows a pair of thieves who hijack an ambulance to use as a getaway vehicle. Chris Fedak (Chuck, Prodigal Son) wrote the screenplay. Bay is also producing the project with New Republic Pictures’ Bradley Fischer (Zodiac, Shutter Island), James Vanderbilt (White House Down, The House with a Clock in Its Walls), Will Sherak (Ready or Not) and Ian Bryce (Saving Private Ryan, Twister). Balfe is currently recording his score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The composer has previously collaborated with Bay on the features 6 Underground and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Ambulance is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on February 18, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
