Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia, Christopher Robin, Hitman) is scoring the upcoming fantasy comedy Man & Witch. The film is directed by Michael Hines and stars Tami Stronach, Greg Steinbruner, Jennifer Saunders, Eddie Izzard, Sean Astin, Bill Bailey, Christopher Lloyd, Shorhreh Aghdashloo, Michael Emerson, Pauline McLynn, Daniel Portman, Reginald D. Hunter, Stuart Bowman, Martha West and Giovanni Pernice. The movie, which is being described as an homage to the lo-fi fantasy films of the 80s, tells the story of a witch who helps a cursed goatherd in his quest for love. Steinbruner also wrote the screenplay. Angela Murray (Songs for Amy) is producing the project for Paper Canoe Company. Man & Witch just finished principal photography and is expected to be released in late 2021 or 2022.
Also coming up for Zanelli is Sam Macaroni’s Blackout, Deon Taylor’s Don’t Fear, as well as Mark Koetsier’s animated comedy 10 Lives.
