Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, The Kominsky Method, CSI: Miami) has recently scored the upcoming indie comedy Ride the Eagle. The film is directed by Trent O’Donnell (No Activity, The Moodys) and stars Jake Johnson, Susan Sarandon, J.K. Simmons and D’Arcy Carden. The movie follows a man who – after his estranged mother leaves him a “conditional inheritance” following her death – has to complete her elaborate and sometimes dubious to-do list vefore he can move into her picturesque Yosemite cabin. O’Donnell and Johnson co-wrote the screenplay. They are also producing the project with Joe Hardesty and Huey Park. Ride the Eagle will be released in select theaters and on VOD on July 30, 2021 by Decal.
Cardoni’s other upcoming feature projects include Marcel Sarmiento’s drama The Royal starring Amin Joseph & Elisabeth Rohm. Also coming up for the composer is Disney+’s Turner & Hooch series (to premiere on July 21), Starz’s Heels (to premiere on August 15), as well as new seasons of CBS’ Young Sheldon, Peacock’s A.P. Bio and Saved by the Bell reboot.
