Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1972 psychological horror drama Images directed by Robert Altman and starring Susannah York, René Auberjonois, Marcel Bozzuffi and Cathryn Harrison. The album features the remastered Academy Award-nominated original score from the film composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial) and percussion by Japanese experimental musician Stomu Yamash’ta. The CD, which marks the first official release of the score approved by the composer himself, is limited to 2,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more details and check out audio samples.
