Singer/songwriter Keaton Henson has recently scored the new Channel 5 limited series Anne Boleyn. The show is written by Eve Hedderwick Turner and stars Jodie Turner-Smith in the title role, alongside Mark Stanley, Paapa Essiedu, Amanda Burton, Thalissa Teixeira, Barry Ward and Jamael Westman. The 3-parter directed by Lynsey Miller (Deadwater Fell) explores the Queen of England’s final months as she struggles to secure a future for her daughter and to challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her. Faye Ward (Wild Rose, Stan & Ollie, Suffragette) and Hannah Farrell are producing the project for Fable Pictures and historian Dan Jones serves as the executive producer. Henson has previously scored the 2014 documentary Something Better to Come, the 2016 drama Young Men and last year’s Supernova starring Colin Firth & Stanley Tucci. Anne Boleyn is premiering in the UK tonight on Channel 5. No word yet on a domestic premiere date.
