Lucy Railton and Yair Elazar Glotman have composed the original music for the upcoming horror thriller False Positive. The film is directed by John Lee (The Shivering Truth, Wonder Showzen) and stars Ilana Glazer, Justin Theroux, Gretchen Mol, Sophia Bush, Zainab Jah and Pierce Brosnan. The movie follows a couple who – after struggling with fertility – seem to have finally found their potential savior in the charming and world-renowned reproductive specialist, when cracks start to appear in the façade of normalcy. Lee and Glazer also co-wrote the screenplay. They are also producing the A24 production with Jonathan Wang (Swiss Army Man, The Death of Dick Long). The project marks the first scoring project of Railton who is best known for her work as a cellist and as the curator/creator of the London Contemporary Music Festival. Glotman has previously co-scored Jóhann Jóhannsson’s directorial debut Last and First Men and provided additional music to the late composer’s score for Mandy. He also performed double bass on scores by composers including Hildur Guðnadóttir, Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury, Dustin O’Halloran & Volker Bertelmann and Ben Frost. Last and First Men False Positive will debut next month at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival before premiering on Hulu on June 25.
