Lucasfilm has confirmed today that John Williams is set to return as the composer of the currently untitled fifth installment in the Indiana Jones film series. The movie will be directed by James Mangold (Logan, Ford v. Ferrari, 3:10 to Yuma) and stars Harrison Ford in the title role, alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge. No other cast members or plot details have been announced yet. The composer was previously attached to score the fifth installment when Steven Spielberg was set to direct the film in 2016 . Spielberg is producing the new movie with Kathleen Kennedy (The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Frank Marshall (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Sixth Sense) and Simon Emanuel (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Witcher). Indiana Jones 5 is set to be released on July 29, 2022 by Walt Disney Pictures.
