Wave Theory Records has announced a remastered edition of the soundtrack album for the 2000 horror drama Shadow of the Vampire directed by E. Elias Merhige and starring John Malkovich, Willem Dafoe (who received an Academy Award nomination for his performance), Cary Elwes, John Aden Gillet, Eddie Izzard, Udo Kier and Catherine McCormack. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Jones (On Chesil Beach, Any Human Heart, World on Fire, Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist, Man in an Orange Shirt, My Scientology Movie) and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The composer also re-recorded two piano solos for the release. The first-ever digital release of the soundtrack will be coming out this Friday, April 9 and is available for pre-order here and will also be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores.
