Composer Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hollywood, Cabin Fever, Hemlock Grove) is reteaming with director Daniel Stamm on the upcoming supernatural horror thriller The Devil’s Light. The film starring Jacqueline Byers, Virginia Madsen, Ben Cross, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro and Nicholas Ralph revolves around a nun studying at a school to master the ritual of exorcism as she confronts a demonic force that infests her school and has mysterious ties to her past. Robert Zappia (5ive Days to Midnight) wrote the screenplay. Paul Brooks (Pitch Perfect, The Haunting in Connecticut) is producing the Gold Circle Films production with Jessica Malanaphy and Todd Jones & Earl Richey Jones (Johnson Family Vacation). Barr has previously collaborated with Stamm (13 Sins) on the 2010 feature The Last Exorcism. The Devil’s Light was originally scheduled to be released in theaters this month by Lionsgate and is currently awaiting a new release date.
Barr is also returning to score the second season of Amazon’s Carnival Row, which is set to premiere later this year.
