Guster lead singer Ryan Miller (Safety Not Guaranteed, The Kings of Summer, In a World…, The Fundamentals of Caring) has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy How It Ends. The film is written and directed by Daryl Wein (White Rabbit, Consumed) & Zoe Lister-Jones (Band Aid) and stars Lister-Jones herself, alongside Cailee Spaeny, Olivia Wilde, Fred Armisen, Helen Hunt and Lamorne Morris. The movie is set on the day an asteroid is scheduled to obliterate Earth and centers on a freewheeling woman who scores an invite to one last wild gathering before it all goes down and – with little help from her whimsical younger – embarks on a journey by foot across Los Angeles as she seeks to make peace with her regrets. Wein & Lister-Jones are also producing the project. How It Ends will premiere later this month at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
