Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, Yes, God, Yes, My Blind Brother, A-X-L) has composed the original music for the upcoming romantic crime drama Die in a Gunfight. The film is directed by Collin Schiffli (All Creatures Here Below) and stars Alexandra Daddario, Diego Boneta, Travis Fimmel, Justin Chatwin and Wade Allain-Marcus. The movie follows a young man who falls for the daughter of his father’s nemesis in New York City. Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man and the Wasp) wrote the screenplay. Tom Butterfield (London Town, The Vault), Mark Gordon (Speed, Grey’s Anatomy), Adrian Politowski (Blithe Spirit, A Christmas Gift from Bob) and Martin Metz (Mandy, I Kill Giants). Hultquist has previously collaborated with Schiffli on the 2014 feature Animals. Die in a Gunfight is expected to be released in 2021.
Hultquist also continues to co-score Apple TV+’s Dickinson, which will return for its second season on January 8, 2021, as well as NBC’s Good Girls, which will return for its fourth season next year.
