Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, The First, Barkskins) is composing the original score for the upcoming drama Mayday. The film is written and directed by Karen Cinorre and stars Grace Van Patten, Mia Goth, Havana Rose Liu, Soko, Théodore Pellerin and Juliette Lewis. The movie follows a young woman who is mysteriously transported to an alternate world after a short circuit at her workplace and meets a crew of female soldiers caught in an endless war. Cinorre is also producing the project with Jonah Disend, Lucas Joaquin (Love Is Strange, Selah and the Spades) and director of photography Sam Levy (Lady Bird, Frances Ha). Mayday will premiere next month in competition at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
Stetson also has the Adult Swim anime series Uzumaki (to premiere next year) coming up.
