Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Son of Zorn) has recently been scoring DreamWorks Animation’s new Netflix original series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The show starring Paul-Mikél Williams, Jenna Ortega, Sean Giambrone, Raini Rodriguez, Ryan Potter and Kausar Mohamme follows a group of six teenagers who are invited to attend a state-of-the-art adventure camp on Isla Nublar and must band together to survive when the dinosaurs break out of captivity. Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness) and Lane Lueras serve as the project’s showrunners and are also executive producing the DreamWorks Animation, Amblin Entertainment and Legendary Television production with Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Colin Trevorrow. Zack Stentz (Thor, X-Men: First Class) serves as consulting producer. Birenberg has previously scored DreamWorks Animation’s TV series Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will premiere this coming Friday, September 18 exclusively on Netflix.
Birenberg’s other recent projects include the third season of Cobra Kai (co-scored with Zach Robinson), which will premiere in 2021 on Netflix, the Disney+ original film Secret Society of Second-Born Royals (to premiere on September 25), the second season of Hulu’s PEN15 (premiering this coming Friday, September 18) and the Epix docu-series Helter Skelter: An American Myth (co-scored with Christophe Beck), which aired this past summer.
